SONUS NETWORKS SHOWCASES PACKET VOICE INFRASTRUCTURE AND ENHANCED SERVICES AT ITU TELECOM WORLD

WESTFORD, Mass., October 2, 2003 – Sonus Networks (Nasdaq: SONS) will highlight technology trends in packet voice infrastructure and related services at the ITU Telecom World 2003 show being held October 12-18 at the Geneva Palexpo, Geneva, Switzerland.

The ITU Telecom World 2003 event comprises a major exhibition and a forum. The exhibition features a comprehensive range of telecommunications-related products and services, while the forum will give the floor to CEOs from the sector's key players, industry visionaries and top-level representatives from regulators, development agencies and governments around the globe.

In the Sonus Networks exhibit, the company will feature live demonstrations of its packet-based voice solutions and enhanced services, including hosted PBX, voice conferencing, prepaid calling and messaging.  Sonus will also be participating in the educational portion of the conference.  Sonus' founder and CTO Mike Hluchyj is scheduled to speak in the following session:
