GENBAND’s worldwide corporate headquarters are located in the Dallas suburb of Frisco, Texas. In addition to having operations in 50 countries, GENBAND also has Global Centers of Excellence located in six major technology hubs around the world.

GENBAND was founded in 1999. Under the guidance of focused, aggressive leadership the company grown has from a one product, start-up into a global organization that now enjoys the largest next generation networking base in the industry. Today GENBAND employs over 2,200 full-time professionals and boasts a tier-one global customer base. Strategic partnerships with leading equipment suppliers such as Alcatel-Lucent, NSN and NEC, as well as acquisitions of Tekelec’s IP switching division, NextPoint Networks and most recently Cedar Point Communications, have transformed the company’s product portfolio, customer profile, geographic footprint and financial performance. But the company’s boldest move, the acquisition of Nortel Carrier IP Switching division, not only changed GENBAND, but effectively changed the global telecom landscape. GENBAND became the engine behind many of the largest communications networks in the world. By acquiring Nortel CVAS and immediately integrating its products into its portfolio, GENBAND preserved many years of respected research and development and provided continuity for an enormous installed base, enabling their carrier customers to cost-effectively continue growth and delivery of services to global customer bases.
