CEO Hassan Ahmed to Deliver Keynote on Changing Telecom Landscape

CHELMSFORD, Mass., October 18, 2004 – At VON Fall 2004, Sonus Networks (Nasdaq: SONS) will be highlighting technology trends in voice over IP (VoIP) infrastructure and related IP-based enhanced services in its exhibit and through participation in several conference presentations. In addition, Sonus chairman and chief executive officer Hassan Ahmed will be delivering a keynote address that will explore the impact of voice over broadband technologies and the role they will play redefining the current telecom landscape. The Sonus booth will feature live demonstrations of Sonus’ packet-based voice solutions for applications including voice over broadband and trunking, as well as Sonus’ SMARRT Services such as hosted PBX, voice conferencing and messaging.
