IPv6 2011: The Time Is Now!

Aashu Virmani, the company's senior director of marketing, will speak at the IPv6 2011 conference sponsored by Light Reading.  The conference will be held at the Hilton New York in New York City on Thursday, July 14, 2011.  Virmani will discuss the topic, "Security in the IPv6 World."  While IPv6 presents opportunities for better Internet security, the transition may create new vulnerabilities and this session will explore both the near-term challenges and the long-range advantages.

Sonus supports IPv6 across its entire product line, assuring its customers that their infrastructure will work effectively with both IPv4 and IPv6 technologies while the industry's transition to full IPv6 is underway. Sonus is a Gold Sponsor of IPv62011.

ITEXPO West 2011

Mykola Konrad, director of enterprise product management, will speak on the enterprise track at ITEXPO West 2011, one of the world's largest and best-attended communications and technology trade shows.  Konrad will address the topic of "Enterprise SBCs: Extending Beyond Interoperability," at 1:30 p.m. local time on Tuesday, September 13.  The presentation will explore the latest trends in enterprise session border controllers and how they can be used to simplify the adoption of SIP, SIP Trunking, and hosted PBX in the enterprise.

Bob Bradley, product line manager for security solutions, will speak in ITEXPO's security track on "The Next Generation of Voice Security," at 11:00 a.m. local time on Thursday, September 15.  This session will discuss current threats, why they are getting more severe, and why traditional network security measures are not sufficient to protect voice and unified communications traffic.

Sonus' VoiceSentry™ security system protects Call Centers against telephony Denial of Service and other voice attacks. The VoiceSentry system extends the capabilities of the Sonus NBS5200 Session Border Controller to enable enterprises to safeguard their voice networks from new cyber threats and keep enterprise costs from escalating.

ITEXPO West 2011 will be held from September 13 to 15 at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas. Sonus Networks, a platinum sponsor, will exhibit in booth #634.
