Market Leaders to Provide SIP-Based Infrastructure For Converged Communications Services Over IP-Based Networks

WESTFORD, Mass., and EAST HANOVER, N.J. – March 12, 2001 – Sonus Networks (Nasdaq: SONS) and dynamicsoft Inc. today announced that they will work together to provide carriers with comprehensive solutions to generate new revenue streams from IP-based services. This announcement brings together the strengths of two industry leaders: Sonus, a premier provider of intelligent softswitches and carrier-class media gateways, and dynamicsoft, a leader in communications infrastructure solutions based on session initiation protocol (SIP) -- the standard for voice and other real-time communications over IP-based networks.

Through this relationship, dynamicsoft and Sonus will help carriers respond to the growing demand for new value-added services over IP-based networks. Carriers will now be able to deploy dynamicsoft's infrastructure solutions to extend the reach of their Sonus softswitch platforms to support IP-based communications devices, such as PCs supporting voice applications and the emerging category of IP-based phones.
