GENBAND Names David Hiscock Senior Vice President of Sales for the Europe, Middle East and Africa Region

Frisco, TX, September 26, 2012GENBAND, a leading developer of IP infrastructure and application solutions, today announced it has named David Hiscock as Senior Vice President of Sales, reporting to Mark Pugerude and responsible for direct sales in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Mr. Hiscock, who came to GENBAND as part of the Nortel CVAS acquisition, was previously a senior member of the company’s sales team based in the United Kingdom.

GENBAND continues to build on its strong market position in the EMEA region with best-in-class IP Networking, Applications and Switching solutions. A growing global demand for interconnection and peering of IP traffic at the borders between networks, as well as security and mediation requirements of Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) technologies are fueling the company’s growth across the EMEA market.

Mr. Hiscock has more than 20 years of sales experience in the telecommunications industry. Since joining Nortel in 1998, he has held a variety of senior-level sales leadership positions, including most recently where he served as Sales Vice President for the United Kingdom, Ireland and Nordics and was responsible for sales, development and strategy execution.
