Frisco, Texas, May 22, 2014 – GENBAND, a leading developer of multimedia and cloud communications solutions, today announced two key additions to its sales leadership team. Tom Smith will lead the company’s Multiple System Operator (MSO) cable team and Brian Toomey will head up GENBAND’s US Regionals sales team. Both Smith and Toomey will report directly to John Ryan, GENBAND’s Senior Vice President of Americas Sales.
“GENBAND is the unquestioned market share leader in the IP cable market and having a world-class sales executive such as Tom Smith leading our MSO team only serves to reinforce our commitment to extending our leadership position in this key segment,” said Mr. Ryan. “Our US regional markets are experiencing a great deal of growth as our customers increasingly look to migrate their networks to IP-based technologies. Brian Toomey thoroughly understands the telecom marketplace and brings a customer-focused leadership approach that will be critical in helping our customers enhance their networks with the revenue-generating solutions and services they are seeking.”
