Chief Marketing Officer
As GENBAND’s Chief Marketing Officer Sam Waicberg is responsible for leading all aspects of strategy, marketing and positioning of the company’s solutions portfolio. He oversees Solutions and Product Marketing, Corporate Marketing and Communications, Strategic Marketing, Channel Marketing and Business Development.
With more than 20 years experience in the technology, software and communications industries, Mr. Waicberg has a proven track record of successfully leading various sized organizations ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500.
Prior to GENBAND, Mr. Waicberg served as CEO of Iperia, a global provider of mobile voice and messaging applications. Under Mr. Waicberg’s leadership Iperia achieved the highest revenues in the company’s 12 year history. He eventually spearheaded the sale of Iperia to Windstream Corporation, a $6 billion communications service provider.
Before joining Iperia, Mr. Waicberg served in a variety of senior Sales and Marketing leadership roles at Fluency Voice, Envox Worldwide, Ascendent Systems and Aspect Communications, where he established a reputation of turning around historically underperforming organizations by rapidly implementing innovative strategies that resulted in significant revenue increases and improved sales and operational performance.
Prior to joining Aspect, Mr. Waicberg spent five years at Oracle within their Communications Industry Group. He was selected to serve in a key leadership role in an Oracle-funded start up called Network Computer Inc., which later became Liberate Technologies, a pioneer in interactive TV.
Mr. Waicberg holds a bachelors degree in Marketing and Management from Montclair State College in New Jersey.
