Answering the Call: Applauding the GSMA's Disaster Response Innovation Fund

The tragic disaster in Houston and surrounding areas in Texas - the state where GENBAND is headquartered in the U.S. - reminds us how important it is to be ready to respond and help when hurricanes, tornados, earthquakes and floods impact communities on an increasingly large scale.

Our employees located in Dallas, only a few hours drive from Houston, have been opening their homes to families, friends and loved ones.  I know many colleagues and friends who have already donated to relief efforts and are trying to assist in other ways as well.

GENBAND Employees Step Up Again – Making Real-Time Connections Possible For Those in Need!

With our company’s annual Global Day of Service  fast approaching on June 1st, I was recently reminded of what a unique privilege I have - being a part of such a giving and caring group of professionals. I’m not just paying lip service when I say GENBAND employees are truly special in so many ways. Continuing to do our Part to Make a Difference

Not many companies can say that each year their employees volunteer an average of more than 10,000 hours to community service, supporting causes that they dearly care about. But that’s one of the many things that separates GENBAND employees from others – their spirit of giving.  At GENBAND, we are fully committed to being responsible corporate citizens and supporting the communities in which we live and work.  This is part of our culture and a spirit permeates throughout our entire organization.

Celebrating a Day of Giving Back!

On Friday, May 30, we will celebrate our annual Global Day of Service - a day when GENBAND employees from all over the world will give back by spending the day working at various charities and non-profits organizations in the communities where they live.  This year more than 90 charities from Ottawa, Frankfurt, Melbourne and virtually every corner of the globe will benefit from the hard work and generosity of GENBAND employees and I could not be more proud to be a part of an organization or such a truly global effort.

Employees Like Clayton Tewksbury and His Family Embody the True Spirit of GENBAND

As we approach GENBAND Day, I wanted to highlight yet another of the many special stories that embody the true spirit of GENBAND.  Last week I told you about Ken Edwards, an employee based in our Raleigh, NC office, and his amazing story of giving back on GENBAND Day.  GENBAND corporate headquarters employee Clayton Tewksbury’s story is just as heart-warming and powerful.

A Quick Look at How GENBAND Day Came About

With GENBAND Day 2012 fast approaching I believe it is valuable to look back at how such a unique day came about. While many companies are committed to some level of social responsibility, what is truly unique about GENBAND is that we not only empower our employees to give back to the non-profit organizations and charities that the mean most to them, but invest in a full day for them to do so.
