Charles D. Vogt
Charlie Vogt is President and CEO of GENBAND. Since joining the Company in 2004, Vogt has executed four acquisitions, divested non-strategic assets and has grown the company to become a market-share leader in the communications industry. Today, GENBAND employs approximately 2,500 employee resources spanning more than 50 countries. Over the past seven years, Vogt's vision has steered the company from a single product to a global market-share leader, representing a comprehensive portfolio of IP switching, networking and application products and solutions. Today, 80% of the world’s largest service providers are GENBAND customers.
Vogt has received numerous awards for his leadership and corporate growth, including: Global Telecoms Business Magazine’s "100 Most Powerful People", Dallas Metroplex Technology Business Council's "Corporate CEO of the Year", Collin County 60 “#1 Fastest-Growing Company”, INC 500 Fastest-Growing Private Companies” and Deloitte’s “Technology Fast 500”, Saint Louis University's "Entrepreneurial Hall of Fame" and Ernst & Young’s "Entrepreneur of the Year". In addition, Vogt has been recognized for his philanthropic efforts in both the corporate and educational sectors.
Vogt serves as a member of the Federal Communications Commission Advisory Council, as well as Chairman of the Board of Kentrox, Board of Directors of Netas and Board of Directors of the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA). He is also an active member of Young Presidents Organization.
Prior to joining GENBAND, Vogt was instrumental in the operational and financial growth of five standard-setting technology companies that either became public companies or were acquired.
Vogt holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Saint Louis University, where he also played Division I NCAA baseball. He is married and has three children.
