GENBAND's FMC Fixed Line solution allows mobile operators to increase revenue and service reach by extending their mobile voice networks into indoor fixed line environments.
High quality, fixed line voice services can now be provided via the mobile network with the simple addition of a VoIP gateway device (IAD or ATA) at the premises. On one side of the device, the VoIP gateway is connected to the Internet and the mobile core via high speed broadband, and on the other side it is connected to home or business phones or fax machines using standard "POTS" interfaces.
For operators and subscribers, FMC fixed line networks provide many advantages:
